Aftercare Instructions

PLASTIC WRAP

1. After thoroughly washing your hands, gently clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap. Let your tattoo air dry during the day. Repeat this step 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks or until your tattoo is healed.

2. You will need to wrap your tattoo for the first 3 nights. Place a new sheet of paper towel over your tattoo and wrap it with plastic wrap. Make sure to gently clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap before wrapping it for the night.

3. In the morning, remove the plastic wrap and repeat step 1.

4. After 3 days, you can start applying lotion. I recommend Aquaphor. Apply a THIN layer on the tattoo whenever you feel it’s necessary. Do not over moisturize.

5. Your tattoo should take about 2 weeks to heal. DO NOT pick or scratch your tattoo. Let it do its thing. Do not swim in the ocean or pool for 2 weeks, and always keep your tattoo covered from the sun.

6. After your tattoo is fully healed, apply sunblock whenever you are outside in the sun (use whichever brand you prefer). This will protect your tattoo from fading over time. It’s a good idea to keep a small bottle of sunblock in your bag or pocket.

SANIDERM

The Saniderm should stick on for about 3-4 days. If it falls off earlier, that’s okay – just follow these steps to start taking care of your tattoo.

1. After the 3 or 4 days are over, you can take off the Saniderm. Start from a corner and slowly peel off the Saniderm under warm water. DO NOT YANK IT!

2. After thoroughly washing your hands, gently clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap. Let your tattoo air dry or dab it dry using a clean towel. Repeat this step 2-3 times per day for 2 weeks or until your tattoo is healed.

3. Once the Saniderm is off and your tattoo is clean and dry, you can start applying lotion. I recommend Aquaphor. Apply a THIN layer on the tattoo whenever you feel it’s necessary. Do not over moisturize.

4. Your tattoo should take about 2 weeks to heal. DO NOT pick or scratch your tattoo. Let it do its thing. Do not swim in the ocean or pool for 2 weeks, and always keep your tattoo covered from the sun.

5. After your tattoo is fully healed, apply sunblock whenever you are outside in the sun (use whichever brand you prefer). This will protect your tattoo from fading over time. It’s a good idea to keep a small bottle of sunblock in your bag or pocket.
